All Ages Winter Reading Program 2021

The Winter Library Reading Program is here!

The Keokuk Public Library is hosting its twelfth annual Winter Reading Program, which started on Monday, January 18th and runs through Saturday, February 27th, to encourage citizens to read more this winter.  This year’s theme is “Get Smitten with Books” and is for all ages!

No need to register this year--Logging your books read and activities completed does that for you.  Progress can be logged virtually or on a paper form.  This is the first year that infants have been added to the program!

You can read anything for this program – books, e-books, newspapers, magazines, blogs, instruction manuals, and more.  Children who are not yet able to read can count books that are read TO them.  Each book read counts as a prize entry.

You can also earn prizes by attending virtual events and completing library related activities, such as checking out a game from our NEW Game Collection or watching a movie on Kanopy!

Prize baskets for adults include Tea Lovers, Coffee Lovers, Garden, Binge Box, Kitchen, Wine & Cheese, and a Floral Arrangement.  Teens are playing for a Dinner and a Movie Night bundle and a Spa Basket.  Kids play for two Craft Baskets and two Dinner and a Movie Night bundles.  Infants and Toddlers play for a Board Book Bundle and a Play Basket.

All prize entries must be turned in by 1:00 PM on February 27th. Prize drawings will be held on March 1st at 9:00 am. For more information, please contact the library at (319) 524-1483, drop by the library on 210 N. 5th Street, or visit
