New Collections for Curbside Checkout!

The Keokuk Public Library has two new collections ready to loan curbside - Mobile Internet Hotspots and a new Game Collection!

With the help of State Aid from the State Library of Iowa, the library purchased 11 mobile Internet hotspots, which library patrons can borrow for 2 weeks at a time and can connect up to 10 devices. Each hotspot has 20 GB per 30-day cycle, and patrons are limited to 1 hotspot at a time.

Internet service relies on cell tower technology and coverage. User experience can vary based on location. Hotspot users must follow the library’s Computer & Internet policy and protect the hotspot from damage, including from direct sunlight and liquids. The KPL no longer charges fines, but hotspots not returned on time will be deactivated and any/all components not returned, or returned damaged, will be billed to the borrower.

A new Game Collection is also available for curbside checkout from the Keokuk Public Library! So far 29 card games and board games are ready to borrow, with a complete list available on

The library was selected for a Lee County Youth Services Grant for $1,000 to purchase more games, which will be added to the collection in the coming months. The library plans on purchasing more card and board games, but also a couple of outdoor games for the summer months. The library also welcomes like-new donations of games to grow the collection.
