KPL New Hours start 11/2/2020!

Starting Monday, November 2nd, the Keokuk Public Library is making adjustments to hours to accommodate more patrons.

New Library Hours (starting 11/2):

Monday – Thursday: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm

Friday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Saturday: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

27 hours of in-person services have been added throughout the week, and both walk-in and curbside services will be available.

Just a reminder that appointments are no longer necessary, but the library is limiting the number of people in the building. Patrons should use the Front Entrance, wear a mask for the safety of the library staff and others, and expect a possible wait time.

As COVID-19 positive cases continue to rise, the library staff encourages the public to use curbside services when possible, Library by Mail when necessary, and communicate with staff by telephone, email, and chat whenever possible.

Library programming is mostly virtual at this time, but staff are adding curbside and to-go kits as time and supplies allow. Craft and activity kits are not listed on our calendar of events, so visit and click Adult or Youth Programs & Services for details.

For more information, reach out to a library staff member – (319) 524-1483, email or, chat with a librarian on, or message the library on Facebook.
