Keokuk Library Appointments Begin August 10th

Sneeze guards are installed, barriers

are up, signage is installed, and the Keokuk Public Library is ready to begin taking appointments for patrons to enter the building. Appointments will be limited and staggered for the safety of browsers and computer users during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting on August 10th, Monday through Friday, patrons will be able to use the library for morning or afternoon appointments. Patrons will be asked to wear a mask during their time in the library for the safety and consideration of other patrons and the library staff, use hand sanitizer at the door, and limit their stay to 30 minutes.

Staff will take appointments by phone, email, and chat, starting August 3rd. Phone and chat are available during Curbside Hours, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. There will be a sign on the door during Library Appointment Hours - If there are openings in the schedule, walk-ups will be welcomed and appointments made in-person at the back entrance. Staff will schedule appointments up to a week in advance.

Curbside Services and Library by Mail continue, and the KPL encourages vulnerable residents to use these services. Don’t know what to read? Virtually browse the new book shelves, Large Print, and Books on CD by visiting, or request a “Reader’s Rx”,
