Keokuk Library adds Saturday and Walk-In Hours, Starting October 1st

Starting Thursday, October 1st, the Keokuk Public Library is making adjustments to hours to accommodate more patrons.

Curbside/outdoor service hours:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Tuesday and Thursday: Noon – 7:00 pm

Saturday: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Walk-In/indoor service hours:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 4:00 – 7:00 pm

An hour of in-person service has been added to four days per week, and Saturday hours have also been added back to the schedule.

Patrons will not have to make appointments for Walk-In hours, but the library will be limiting the number of people in the building at one time. At this time that number has been set at 10 library patrons + library staff. Patrons must use the Front Entrance so that library staff can keep an accurate count, and should expect a possible wait time.

Patrons are still asked to wear a mask in the library for the safety and consideration of other patrons and the library staff, use hand sanitizer or grab a pair of gloves at the door, and limit their stay to 30 minutes.

The library continues to offer a variety of services Curbside - printing, copying, fax, lamination, Notary, and more, as well as Library by Mail. Programming has moved online, sometimes with materials distributed curbside, and a full list of events, as always, can be viewed on

For more information on library services, reach out to a library staff member – (319) 524-1483, email or, chat with a librarian on, or message the library on Facebook.
