COVID-19 response at the Keokuk Public Library

Today the Keokuk Community School District closed in response to COVID-19. We are taking this situation very seriously. We have always been proud of our role as a public gathering place, but right now we need to serve the public in a different role and encourage social distancing.

Our first step is to cancel library programs through the end of March 2020. We will make a decision about April programs at a later date.

We have renewed all library accounts that have expired this year, and are set to expire in the next 3 months. Those cards will now expire on 6/16/2020. This will ensure uninterrupted access to online databases, which we will highlight in upcoming posts.

Please call the library to setup a PIN number to access Bridges/OverDrive books, audiobooks, and magazines. (319) 524-1483.

Then download the Libby app! We will set up a way to request books from the KPL instead of the Bridges consortium at a later date to expedite your e-book and audiobook requests.

All items currently checked out have been renewed for 3 months, so you don't have to worry about renewing them, returning them, and accumulating fines. We are also adjusting loan times and limits today.

All of your items (DVDs included) are due on 6/16/2020.

Please keep your items at home during this National Emergency, so as not to overwhelm our drop box.
