Library Policies: Mission Statement

Service to the community through library resources is the primary mission of the Keokuk Public Library.  Through provision of information, books, materials, and services the library seeks to stimulate ideas, advance knowledge, preserve the local heritage, and enhance the quality of life for everyone in the community.

Library Roles

  • A door to lifelong learning, the library serves as a resource center providing timely, accurate and useful information for community residents.

  • The library features current high-demand, high interest materials in a variety of formats providing entertainment, education, and relaxation for all.

  • A door to learning, the library encourages young children to develop an interest in reading and learning.

Monday - Thursday: 10 am - 7 pm

Friday: 10 am - 5 pm

Saturday: 10 am - 1 pm


Masks Required. 

Limited Capacity - expect a wait time.  

Limit time to 30 minutes.
